Funding Programs
Masters in Building Training (MIBT) offers funding options for Trainees and full course participants in the Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction (Management) course. Generous fee subsidies are available through most State and Territory Governments including; NSW, QLD, Northern Territory and the ACT - subject to eligibility requirements. MIBT also offer a monthly payment plan to cover student contributions.

Course Outline
The Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction (Management) qualification is designed to meet the needs of individuals requiring a building industry licence.

The course provides you with the technical and management skills to become a builder and/or construction manager for medium-sized building businesses. Building contractor licensing varies between states and territories and additional elements may be required to attain this qualification. (Links are provided at the bottom of the page for state-specific information.)

The course program has 10 units of competency comprised of 4 core units and 6 elective units to be selected from the list below.. The training and assessment for this course must be undertaken in a real or closely simulated workplace environment. You will need to be working in the building and construction industry on a worksite to be able to learn and demonstrate competency.

Lessons are presented online, on-site, face-to-face or a blended mode of delivery by Australia’s leading professional building trainers, who each have many years of experience as successful building contractors. Our experienced trainers will assist you with a program that covers all aspects of low and medium rise building to ensure you become a successful building professional.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

The Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction (Management) course, offers study credits through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), transferring formal qualifications in recognition of the skills you have already gained through your life, work and other study.

Depending on your background, if you have more than two years full-time experience, through RPL, full qualifications can be gained in under thirteen weeks. Enrollments are taken on an ongoing basis. You can commence the process here online at any time 24/7, or over the phone or in person during AEST business hours.

MIBT will appoint a specialist Trainer / Assessor, that will work with you to guide and assist as you gather the skills and evidence required. Your Trainer will come to you to assess your work and document any RPL, credit transfer or completion of all course units required for full Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction qualifications. MIBT will provide any skills gap training if required.

Qualification Cost

Building and Construction Industry Training is subsidised through State Government Training Programs. Eligibility may vary between States. As a general guide, for subsidised training you need to be:

- 15 years old or over;
- no longer at school;
- living or working in that state;
- an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen.

The following Qualification Costs apply, unless you are a Fee Free Apprentice, or your fees are exempt for other reasons;

  • $500 – this is a non-refundable pre-enrolment fee payable before we accept you as a Student.
  • $995 - once we accept your Enrolment, a further $995 is payable which completes the Enrolment Fee ($1,495).
  • MIBT will supply you with a qualification quotation (Student Fee) based on the qualification prices listed below in your relevant State section. Even if you are applying for RPL, the cost of the Qualification will be quoted to you at the full Student Fee.

The Qualification price is $10,340, however this training is subsidised by the NSW Government under the Smart & Skilled Program.

Funded Qualification:
First qualification: $4,140
Second Qualification: $4,650

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Full qualification price is $10,340, the RPL price is $5,170. Depending on the amount of RPL achieved full student fee will be between these fees. RPL price includes funded student fee & RPL evidence package.

Student to complete any RPL within 13 weeks prior to standard pathway. RPL pathway is only available to experienced workers with minimum 3 years’ experience in your chosen qualification.
The Qualification price is $10,340, however CSQ may provide a funding contribution towards the cost of training and assessment for eligible workers.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Full qualification price is $10,340, the RPL price is $5,170. Depending on the amount of RPL achieved full student fee will be between these fees. RPL price includes funded student fee & RPL evidence package.

Student to complete any RPL within 13 weeks prior to standard pathway. RPL pathway is only available to experienced workers with minimum 3 years’ experience in your chosen qualification.

CSQ Eligible enrolments (if available): $2,500 paid on enrolment

The Qualification price is $10,340.

Funded Qualification: $5,990

MIBT non-refundable pre-enrolment fee: $500
MIBT Training & Assessment: $500 per month (from second month until fully paid)
