This qualification provides a trade outcome in construction waterproofing, covering work in residential and commercial applications. MIBT’s Training Program is flexible and focuses on matching your learning progress, with the on-the-job experience you gain week to week. Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing qualification has 19 units of competency comprised of 14 core units and 5 elective units to be selected from the list below.
Depending on your location, MIBT offers blended on-site and online skills training that compliments workplace learning. MIBT Trainers are directly available to all trainees and apprentices – and their employers, throughout the training process. We come to you, to assess work activities and provide practical tutorials, on unit elements that might not be covered on the job.
Our training program invites engagement and participation. The progress of every apprentice or trainee, is monitored weekly. Reports are issued regularly, based around the objectives of the customised training plan created for each student. Employers will be regularly advised of the apprentices’ course progress, engagement and attendance, with a full report issued each term.
MIBT's education group come from the building and construction industry. All MIBT trainers and assessors are qualified building professionals. We are therefore committed to providing quality outcomes for our students, their employers, and the people that live in the homes, or occupy the buildings, created through the work, skills and knowledge of our students, as applied throughout their career.
For people currently working in the building industry, MIBT will appoint a specialist Trainer / Assessor, that will work with you to gather the evidence required, to transfer the knowledge you have already acquired as completed training units.
The time it takes to assess your qualifications for RPL is substantially up to you. MIBT’s Trainer / Assessor will meet with you as soon as is practical, to complete all unit assessments and identify any units that might require further study and assessment tasks to complete.
MIBT works closely with employers to create a custom Training Plan, for each apprentice or trainee. We recognise that the training plan must follow & reflect the type of projects the employer is working on.
MIBT’s Training Calendar works around three terms per year, aiming to complete 3 to 4 units per term. MIBT’s Trainer will visit the workplace at least every term, to assess and validate competency, as well as sign off with the employer and student on any evidence necessary to complete each unit.
Instead of losing the apprentices off site each week, MIBT’s blended onsite / online training program is flexible and can accommodate and work around busy periods and project deadlines, utilising gaps or wet weather days, to complete study elements and assessment tasks.
The delivery time-frame for MIBT’s Certificate III Paiting and Decorating qualification is approximately 24 months, which is standard for a a Construction Waterprrofing Apprenticeship.
